Eid al-Fitr is coming

Roughly translated, Eid al-Fitr means “festival of breaking the fast”. The holiday is a celebration that marks the end of Ramadan, which started on May 26th. The Ramadan is a time to show kindness to others and love for Allah.

Eid al- Fitr begins automatically after the last day of Ramadan, on the first day of Shawwal, the 10th month of de Islamic moon calendar. In 2017 it is predicted to begin on Sunday June 25. Holidays vary between two and three days, so expect a long weekend. The date is subject to moon-sighting and could change.

Offices have got adjusted opening hours during the holiday. The Jordex Global office in Abu Dhabi will be closed on Sunday and Monday during Eid al-Fitr, but available for urgent matters.

We wish all our Islamic relations a ‘Eid Mubarak’!
