Kim and Dennis in Oman
Our colleagues Kim and Dennis have visited Port Sohar, Oman. They were there just at the right time, when four full automatic cranes were delivered. With the arrival of the new cranes the port counts eleven cranes. Besides their visit to the port they visited some business relations and participated in the Business Innovation Forum for logistics, maritime & research hosted by The Netherlands.
In recent years Port Sohar has grown under the supervision of the Port of Rotterdam. The port is located on one of the world’s major shipping routes.
The port offers space for various commodities including oil, gas and metals. The development of food commodities is in full swing, a good example is the building of grain silos.
Behind the port there is a free zone, which makes it interesting for companies to invest.
